System requirements
- Windows: the program will install Docker Desktop automatically, or prompt you to. It is needed so the scraper works with maximum accuracy by simulating a real browser.
- Mac: you will need Go (Golang) installed. If you do not have it, DirectorAI walks you through installing it in one click.
Set up your AI engine
Before generating, choose the "brain" that will write your content. Go to the Settings tab or configure it straight from the side panel.
Ideal for maximum speed. Requires an OpenAI or OpenRouter API key. Copy and paste your key into Settings.
Use Ollama or LM Studio. The program detects whether they are installed. If not, press the "Download" button inside the app to set it up automatically.
Choose your strategy
In the "Generate Directory" tab, select the scope of your project.
- City Mode Local vertical: enter a city (e.g. "Valencia"). The software uses the site structure you defined to search multiple categories (plumbers, lawyers, dentists...) within that one city.
- Country Mode National horizontal: enter a country (e.g. "Spain") and one or more niches (e.g. "aesthetic clinics"). The software finds the country’s most important cities and generates pages for each city and its neighbourhoods.
Generation and blogging
Press "Generate Directory" to create the main CSV file. You can also go to the "Generate Blog" tab to create supporting SEO articles.
Turn on "Generate images with AI" so the software creates unique thumbnails for each article using Stable Diffusion, at no extra cost.
Importing into WordPress
The final step is getting your data onto the web. You will need a clean WordPress installation.
- Download the base.wpress file (available from the button above).
- Install the "All-in-One WP Migration" plugin on your WordPress and import the base file.
- Use the credentials: Username: directorai / Password: directorai
- Go to WP All Import > New Import.
- Upload the CSV file the software generated.
- Select the "DirectorAI Web" template (or "Blog" if you are importing articles).
